Fibaro Universal Binary Sensor
The Fibaro Universal Binary Sensor is a radio module and enables any sensor with a binary output to communicate with a Z-Wave network. This is ideal for sensors that need to collect data from remote locations, now it can communicate wirelessly via the Z-Wave network, rather than having to connect it by wires.
The Fibaro Universal Binary Sensor can accurately measure temperature when used with the optional DS18B20 temperature sensor.
A module can control up to two binary sensors and up to four temperature sensors DS18B20. The sensor is designed for installation in the housing of a sensor or another device.
The Z-Wave module provides two generic digital inputs and connections for up to four temperature sensors (not included). The device is small enough to fit within standard PIR sensor or other sensors( like leak detectors, rain sensors), door bells etc to Z-Wave enable it.
Once additional safety housing has been installed, the sensor can also be used in areas with high humidity and high temperature. The device requires a dc supply voltage between 9 and 30V so it could be used for a wide range of applications.
